Vincent Mercier

Vincent Mercier (born in France in 1949) is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Vincent Mercier graduated from the Ecole des Mines, and holds a Master's degree in Economics and an MBA from Cornell's Johnson School, US. He started his professional career in 1974 in consulting before joining the French Institute of Industrial Development as department head. He became Vice President of Strategy and Development of the Wagons-Lits Group in 1985. In 1994, he became Vice President at A.T. Kearney, and in 2000 he joined the Carrefour Group as Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer and member of the Group Executive Committee.

In 2003, Vincent Mercier joined Roland Berger as Managing Partner of the firm's Paris office and, in September 2004, also became Managing Partner of the Belgian office. His regional responsibilities also included China, Morocco and the Netherlands. He was a member of the Roland Berger Strategy Consultants' Executive Committee from September 2004 to July 2010. In July 2010 he was elected by the Partners as Vice-Chairman to the Supervisory Board of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Vincent Mercier specialized in global strategy and organization with a focus on consumer goods and retail. His industrial expertise also incorporated tourism and financial services.

Vincent Mercier is teaching strategy and organization at HEC School of Management and Institut Supérieur des Affaires, one of France's leading business schools.

Vincent Mercier is married, has two children and lives in Paris.
