The privatization of Romania's formerly government-run companies began in the 1990s, and is now coming to an end. They now constitute a growing market for management consulting. In 1992, when Roland Berger established its office in Bucharest, this market was still ignored by traditional competitors and offered plenty of untapped potential.
Although the country as a whole still faces difficult economic conditions, Roland Berger has succeeded in acquiring a strong reputation among both multinational and local companies, and among government and public authorities.
