think:act Content--China's 12th Five-Year Plan

China's Five-Year Plans are part of its national economic program, which aims to organize key national construction projects and manage the distribution of production and individual sectors.

China's five-year plan cycle plays a central role in the country's socio-economic development programs. It identifies and orchestrates major national construction projects, specifies the allocation of productive resources and the contributions of individual sectors to the overall plan, maps China's economic direction and sets targets. The implementation of the first Five-Year Plan began in 1953. China's leaders recently unveiled the country's 12th Five-Year Plan, covering the period 2011 to 2015.
