Being closely linked to the macro economy, the equipment manufacturing industry has undergone the intensifying impact from the global economic crisis, and the growth in sales value of industry dropped from 32% in 2007 to 24% in 2008 and 4% in 2009 Q1. The output value of China’s CE industry exceeded RMB800 billion in 2008. According to the statistic data of China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA), China’s TVs, refrigerators and washing machines accounts for 40% of the global output, and microwave ovens even reach 80%. Within merely 30 years, China has developed into the global CE manufacturing center and fostered local well-known brands such as Haier, Midea and Galanz.
